Today we will be talking little about considering Gods timing before entering into any relationship.
You will
agree with me that most of the relationships we have all around today are
experiencing tough time. Therefore, God wants his children to live above such..
Consider
this extract….
“When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen.” Isaiah
60:22
Trust me, The Lord WILL make it
happen when the timing is right.
When I first saw my husband, I
was 14-years-old, a freshman in high school and he was a senior. No words were
spoken to each other until my sophomore year of college, I was 19 and he was
now 22 and a recent college graduate.
At this point in my life, I had
told myself that I was not going to date again until I graduated college but
God apparently had a different plan. We were living three hours apart and spent
months calling each other and Skyping before actually meeting in person. So he
picks me up for our first date, and asks me to be his girlfriend by the end (so
much for not dating, right?) Nine months later we were engaged and six months
after that we were saying “I do!”
Now we have been married for a
year, and I still haven’t graduated from college. But God’s plan was far better
than anything that I could have ever imagined in my life.
So here are some things that I
learned from God’s timing and my relationship. First of all, a relationship
needs to be built on the love of Jesus Christ and most importantly you need to
be able to love each other how Jesus loves you. There is no greater bond that
can be built in a relationship than this.
You need to
pray for each other and pray often. God will be able to complete your partner
on a level that you never will.
I mean, can you imagine someone
loving you so much that they take the time to pray for just you?
Your success, your struggles,
they are asking God to help you. Who doesn’t want a love like that? God’s
timing is His will and He knows when we are ready for our “perfect match."
God's timing will always be better than our own, always.
“When
couples love God first they love each other better.”
If you’re still single and
struggling with God’s timing this verse is just for you. “I will never forget
you. See, upon the palms of my hands I have written your name.” Isaiah 49:16.
This is a promise from God that He has not forgotten you but He is preparing
something better for you in His timing.
I know in today’s world it is
so hard to find someone who shares the same values as you or holds to your
beliefs. But trust me, God has handpicked someone just for you. Not someone to
complete you, because that is Gods job. But He has chosen someone that will love
you so much and help you to grow closer to Him. By keeping God at the center of
your future relationship you will be able to overcome any obstacle this world
throws at you. So trust in Gods timing and know that He will always be faithful
to you.
God will not
fail you as you wait patiently for him…
“For God has
said, I will never fail you, I will never abandon you.” Hebrews 13:5
